Your Mistakes Are Not Failure!

We are human. Let’s get that right out of the way. Sometimes we make mistakes. We fall on our faces and don’t know how to handle it. In many cases, we often feel like we’ve failed at something. Well, I’m here to remind you that your mistakes are not failure!

A bit of a story to start. Previously, I had issues at work where things were coming back to me for various reasons. Understandably, I was frustrated and bummed out because the week before was flawless. I felt like I was taking two steps forward and three steps back. Unfortunately, I decided to have a mental pity party and think I was a failure. Needless to say, this thinking was WAY wrong! Just the opposite, I was NOT a failure, I am still learning. Add that to the fact that we all make mistakes, even bosses. Even the people we respect most make mistakes. Fourtunately, I took the feedback and ran with it.

Your mistakes are not failure

Something I like to keep in mind is that we are all on a journey to learn. We never stop learning. Additionally, there are times when things go batshit sideways. Never stop learning! Pick up the topics that interest you and learn all you can. If you stumble, those are not failures. They are learning experiences!

The best advice I can give it to lean into the things that do not work out. Often times, the lessons learned from such instances make us stronger, better, and we grow further. Embrace the mistakes and learn from each one. We all make them and we’re human! That is the best part of who we are.

Finally, remember that your mistakes are not failure! In the meantime, check out a post for Mental Health Awareness Month.

This was a short one but I wish you all a wonderful week! Until next week, be well and namaste.

I love your perspective on your mistakes not being failure! This is a lesson that we all need to keep in mind as we try new things. Still a lesson I’m learning; easier said than done. I look forward to reading more articles!

    1. Hi Julie!

Thank you for stopping into the Grotto again! You’re always welcome 🤗

This week was inspired by something that happened to me last week at work. I was reminded that we are allowed to make mistakes and like I said, it doesn’t make us failures. It’s definitely a hard lesson to learn but it’s so important 😊
