Your Holistic Health Sweet Spot

relax and unwind while finding your holistic health sweet spot!
Relax and Unwind

I have a question for you. Have you been having trouble finding your holistic health sweet spot?

When we start on any new lifestyle path, we try to go all in. It could be an exercise routine, diet, or even just trying to get a handle on our mental health and wellness. The key to not getting totally overwhelmed is to find that “sweet spot” where you feel like you’re making progress, but not trying to do everything at once, which can lead to burnout.

This “sweet spot” is going to be different for everyone. For instance, some people may find that doing a lot of small things for their health is best. Others may find that doing a few things, or maybe even just one thing at a time works well. Again, as I always say, it’s about what works for YOU!

Here are a few ways to find your holistic health sweet spot:

Try one thing at a time, to start. If you find you can do that, maybe add one more thing. For instance, if you start a meditation practice, and become consistent with that, maybe add journaling for 5 min a day.

Find things that interest you and start small.

Ask others what they like doing to keep themselves healthy. You may find some inspiration by drawing on others. In fact, this is also a great way to maybe find something you like that you may not have thought of before.

It may take many tries to find out what resonates with you most. I think that if you find something or a series of activities that resonate with you AND you find that it’s helping your holistic health, you’ve found your sweet spot. Be open to different things. For myself, I like to meditate and journal. I don’t do it every day, and you do not have to do your activities every day either. That is so unrealistic, and I feel that it can become more of a chore than a joy. That means you will most likely lose interest in it. We don’t want that to happen. The trick is to get that balance, which is so much a part of holistic, and overall wellness.

My challenge for you all, this coming week is to find one holistic activity that you want to try and to try it. That’s it, just do it! In the meantime, here’s an article on 10 Simple Ways to Find Balance. I think it’s a great piece to share with this post! In the meantime, check out the Holistic Self-Care Page for the challenge, for the rest of August!
