Life’s a hectic ride. We never know what’s going to happen. Things get pushed aside. We’ve all had this happen. We start a project or a new venture, all excited to go and life throws us a curve. Frequently, it’s a change in our professional life, personal life, or something else. The point is, it throws us off our intent to be consistent!
Have faith! Being consistent isn’t a lose/lose situation. You can work on ways to keep up with life has to offer. Here are a few ways.
How To Be Consistent
- Get a planner. Yes, get a planner and USE IT! Writing things down and blocking time for things will help you to gain the control over life that you’re looking for.
- Prioritize. What needs to be done now? What can wait? Do the same for everything else. Focus on getting high-priority things done first. Since they are high-ticket items, you’ll feel accomplished and much more motivated.
- Also, celebrate your wins and keep the momentum going. Patting yourself on the back is a great idea and can keep you motivated.
In all honesty, I struggle with being consistent, but oddly enough, I’ve found that the more I stress about it, the worse it gets. All in all, the less I stress about it, the easier and more productive I am. In addition, performing regular audits of yourself and your tasks will foster consistency faster, which means you can be more productive.
When it comes to consistency, just do it! Take stock of your life and priorities. Consistency is NOT going to happen overnight. In fact, it’s going to take a shit ton of work and grit. Put the work in and I promise, you’ll see the results.

One way to be consistent is to get some exercise in! Check out my article from a couple of weeks ago on my struggle with exercise. As I’ve said, work on it each day and it will come. At least give it a good effort. After all, that’s really all you can do, right?
